Walter Nobbe (1941-2005) studied at the Royal Academy of Arts at The Hague from 1958 until 1963. (Painting classes directed by Co Westerik). Formed with Pat Andrea and Peter Blokhuis the ABN group (Andrea-Blokhuis-Nobbe). They had an active part in the development of contemporary dutch realism who culminated in their selection for the exhibition ‘Nouvelle Subjectivité’ in Brussels, curated by Jean Clair.
